LinkUp Australia

Linkup Australia began services in May 2018 and is a respected provider of NDIS disability services. Our organisation was established in response to the lack of suitably accessible housing and the limited choice of flexible, person-centred supports for people living with disability in the Northern Territory.

Our mission at Linkup Australia is to help people to live more independently by designing and delivering quality and innovative services that respond to the needs of the diverse communities we work with.
Our vision is that every Australian has every opportunity to live their best life, their way. We work towards our vision every day and do so through our complimentary and NDIS-funded disability services.

Distinguished and Famous people from Wondai

🎵 Chad Morgan

Chad Morgan was born at Wondai in 1933 and became one of Australian country music's most recognisable comic performers. Timber and cane work preceded discovery through the Australia's Amateur Hour radio programme. His stage personality, upturned hat and humorous songs sustained a career of more than seventy years. The nickname Sheik of Scrubby Creek came from one of his best-known creations. He died in 2025. Wondai supplies the birthplace connection behind a life spent bringing music and laughter to audiences around the country, often with a deliberately unpolished bush character.

🏏 Carl Rackemann

Carl Rackemann was born at Wondai in 1960 and developed into a fast bowler for Queensland and Australia. His Test career ran through the 1980s into 1991, alongside one-day international cricket and a much longer state career. The bowling, rather than the batting, supplied his principal contribution, with pace and sustained work forming the core of his role. Later recognition included the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2011. Wondai's association is a documented birthplace within a sporting life that extended through domestic competitions and international grounds.

🏏 Nathan Hauritz

Nathan Hauritz was born at Wondai in 1981 and went on to bowl off-spin for Australia in seventeen Tests and fifty-eight one-day internationals. His Test debut came in 2004, with national selection bringing opportunities in the difficult period after Shane Warne's retirement. Domestic cricket included Queensland, NSW and Twenty20 teams. The connection gives Wondai two different kinds of international bowler, following the fast bowling of Carl Rackemann. Hauritz's career depended on turn, control and variation, demonstrating how players from the same small-town birthplace could reach the game through quite different skills.
