Wondai is a small town situated in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, Australia. Here are some interesting facts about this quaint little town:

1. Wondai was originally called Tingoora until 1910 when it was renamed Wondai. The name "Wondai" comes from an Indigenous word meaning "dingo".

2. The town is located in the heart of the South Burnett wine region. Some of the popular wineries around Wondai include Clovely Estate, Moffatdale Ridge Wines, and Bauple Wines.

3. The Wondai Country Markets, held on the fourth Saturday of every month, are a popular attraction for tourists. Here, you can find local produce, arts, crafts, and homemade goods.

4. In 2020, the Wondai Sportsground was upgraded with a new multi-purpose facility that includes netball and tennis courts, a BMX track, and a playground.

5. The Wondai District Swimming Pool is a popular spot for families and has a 25-meter pool, a children's pool, and a shaded picnic area.

6. The town is home to the Wondai Regional Art Gallery which showcases works from local and regional artists. The gallery also hosts exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events throughout the year.

7. The Wondai Heritage Museum is a fascinating place to visit for history buffs. The museum houses artifacts and displays that tell the story of the town and its people.
